Housing
UNCG students supported by Beyond Academics have numerous on-campus or off-campus options for housing. Students may live in various on-campus housing locations managed by Housing and Residence Life at UNCG, or choose to live in privately-owned housing in the greater Greensboro area. The community surrounding the campus offers a variety of housing configurations that may suit specific student needs. Upon application and acceptance through Beyond Academics, housing recommendations are made based on each individual student’s preferences and their individualized need for support.
UNCG has set aside a limited number of spaces in residence halls for non-degree students, including students enrolled in Integrative Community Studies (Beyond Academics). Housing and Residence Life and Beyond Academics make every effort to provide space for incoming first year students. Typically this means that there are a limited number of spaces to 2nd year students and up.
Privately-owned student housing located off campus is also optional, and each location offers various options in terms of cost, size and amenities. Students enrolled live in inclusive student housing. They may live with other university students as roommates, or with other students supported by Beyond Academics if they choose. Beyond Academics does not provide “Residential Support” and does not match roommates based on program involvement.
